What’s New on The 2025 Porsche Taycan?
When it comes to what’s new in the 2025 Porsche Taycan, there’s a lot to talk about. From performance to luxury, Porsche has made a lot of changes to its all-electric sports sedan.

There’s new styling and upgrades that improve charging speed, range, and performance. And the Taycan now comes in eight models, including the new Turbo GT model that is breaking track records.
What’s New on The 2025 Porsche Taycan
Electric Motor and Transmission
The 2025 Taycan has been given a major power boost. A new rear-mounted electric motor is lighter and more efficient, and makes between 402 and 429 horsepower. Higher models really ramp up the ponies, with the top Turbo GT model putting out a maximum of 1,019 horsepower.
The base model Taycan runs on one rear-mounted motor, while all other models feature dual electric motors, one powering the front wheels and the other powering the rear wheels. All Taycan models come standard with a two-speed direct-drive transmission that makes the sports sedan especially quick off the mark.
Performance
All that extra power means a boost in the Taycan’s performance. The base rear-wheel drive model can reach 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. Higher models reach that speed faster, with the Turbo GT model accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.2 seconds. On the road, the Taycan is smooth and easy to drive, and its precise handling makes it a standout in the all-electric sedan segment.
Range and Battery Charging
For 2025, Porsche has supplied the Taycan with a larger battery and a faster on-board charger. The EPA-estimated driving range for the sedan is 274 miles with the Performance Battery and 318 miles with the Performance Battery Plus. The vehicle can now be charged on a DC connection at up to 320 kilowatts, allowing it to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.
Interior
The Taycan’s sleek exterior profile extends into the cabin. The dash is tech-laden, with three digital screens coming standard and a fourth passenger-side screen available. The seats are firm and comfortable, allowing for fatigue-free long trips. The steering wheel and seats are also highly adjustable, and controls are all within easy reach. The interior can be covered in a range of color schemes and rich materials. Luxury options abound, including massaging front seats, heated back seats, and a heated steering wheel.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The Taycan comes standard with a 16.8-inch curved display for gauges, and additional 10.9-inch and 8.4-inch displays for cabin controls and the infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, with USB-C ports in both rows for direct connectivity. A Bose Surround Sound System is available.
